I read the whole series, which tells you it's good! (Most of us don't waste our time if not). The writing is good and the book is well editted. The series ended very well with a satisfying ending. I was hoping for a little hope in this last book of the series since all of the books have been exceptionally dark (hey, it's zombie apocalypse what do you expect?!), and it did end with a teeny tiny glimmer of possible hope for the characters and their future....although not necessarily the future of mankind...These books have a new twist on the zombie apocalypse theme with people who have special powers called Starborns. Since I'm definitely not a zombie fan, this added twist is what make these appealing novels to me and why I even picked up that first one. The characters are well developed and sympathetic. The fact that I can picture each of them in my mind right now indicates that the writer has done a great job of painting the picture. There was very little romance, which I always like a little bit of that. Good action of course and good drama. Other than the underlying doom and gloom, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and it was a great escape. There are some authors where I have devoured every single book in every single series they've ever written one after the other. I'll probably need to take a little break with these to cleanse the palate of the dark undertone. That being said I have purchased the first book in his next series that takes place 57 years in the future from these books. :)

Into The Shadows The Starborn Ascension Book 3 eBook Jason D Morrow Reviews
I have loved this entire series! It is interesting, keeps you wanting more, makes you care about the well developed characters and is well written too. One of those series you could keep on reading and I LOVE that each book is well over 300 pages- anything less is more of a short story to me.
This is a great series. If you love post-apocalyptic, zombies, action, super-powers... This series has them all!
It's well written and kept driving me back to the book(s). I have experienced more numb legs from getting lost on the throne than I can count because of these books.
1/1/15 - I read the entire Starborn series including the 3 book of the Starborn Uprising! They are all excellent reading!
I loved some characters and hated others! James is an excellent author and will go far I am positive! Get The starborn uprising! You can't go wrong! Do it now!!!!! Teri Campisi
The author has created a world that is not only a place where your life is at risk every moment but the people also must face the loss of freedom to the ones that cause the disaster in the first place. Follow the gifted Star Born as they struggle to change history. I have enjoyed all 6 books & I recomend them to everyone that can read.
Very thrilling, never boring, I could not put it down, I had to read what happened next at every page turn. The Starborn series is enjoyable, Its like the Walking Dead, only with some characters having supernatural power to survive, although they to can turn or be killed. I would recommend the series to anyone.
Just A great Book. I starts off very fast. For long time I've been looking for a series of books that are fast paced, post-apocalyptic, and original since a lot of the stuff from that genre out there is burned out stuff. Really liked the series. Reccomend them fully, All six books from the two series.
This the best volume in this 3 part series. The first two are good but Morrow really picked up the pace in this story. There is a lot of action and tension building which the author maintains very well. I'm still not a fan of the first person narrative and I was never emotionally attached to the characters, but the story more than makes up for it. I will for sure add the other installments of this storyline to my kindle.Good stuff.
